(Online) Create a Sitcom from your stand up

You have a funny stand-up act and now want to pitch a sitcom based on it. For established and new stand-up comedians who have honed their stage persona and stand- up act and are wondering how to best adapt that into a tv show concept. In this online class, students will not only discover how to showcase their stand-up persona in a sitcom scenario but also establish a world and supporting characters that lays a foundation for great stories and dynamic relationships. By the end of the course, students will have a pitch document that pulls from their standup act (and persona) to create characters, a world, a pilot area and an overview of a first season of a sit-com. Students will leave with a full pitch document for their show.
